Immerse yourself in former Czechoslovakia at the Museum of Communism

Since the Velvet Revolution in November 1989, which led to the political independence of Czechoslovakia, the country's history is not to be forgotten… An authentic return to a difficult period.

A stone's throw from Wenceslas Square, the Museum of Communism provides a fascinating glimpse into the eponymous era in Czechoslovakia, from 1921 to 1989. Founded in 2001, it opposes the idealized view of Communism, as it was presented at the time, to the reality experienced by the people. Its story focuses on everyday life, political and economic issues, education, the military and the arts.
Stone-faced Lenin welcomes you at the entrance of the museum. Without omission or taboo, the exhibition space invites you to immerse yourself in Communist Prague and its authentic history… Reproductions and projections are packed with information for the new generation, who is becoming aware of the country's upsetting history.
