Daddy Poule, poultry galore!

Situated in the western part of Lyon, Daddy Poule unveils its poultry-based concept from the plates all the way to the cock-tails.

Perched on the rooftop of the Tassin-la-Demi-Lune building on the outskirts of Lyon, Daddy Poule pays tribute to poultry, cooked in many ways. The inside of the restaurant extends the metaphor insofar as to oversee the installation of clear wooden tables, very similar to the roof of a henhouse. Just like the name suggests (“poule” meaning hen in French, and riffing on “cool”), puns are very much liked there. On the menu for instance, you can order cock'tails, the piña colada becomes a “mother hen” and a margarita an “Acapouleco”.
In the plate, poultry comes in various forms: in a wrap, in supreme sauce, in slow-cooked thighs with a lemon-honey juice… Eggs are prepared the “p'tit gone” way (local slang for “brat”), soft-boiled with a tomato purée. When night falls, take a seat on the wooden terrace filled with plants and listen to local bands. Before heading back home, you can also enjoy the custom photo booth using a “hen” filter to keep an original souvenir from your experience.
